Exhibits & Projects

The exhibit peels back the layers of landscape that cry out for protection. Through works in oil, Allison is particularly interested in the layering of colour and light on the rough canvas, which embraces the natural environment of the Venetian marshland.

The exhibit celebrates the beauty of the Venetian Lagoon while generating international awareness around the perils and issues facing its existence, both culturally and environmentally.

Works in oil and watercolour.

Solo Exhibit - Let Wild Run Free
Venissa Wine Resort - Venice, Italy

19 March 2022 - summer 2022

Let Wild Run Free is Allison Zurfluh’s first solo exhibit. Integrated into the local life of the Northern Venice Lagoon, Allison interprets the environment and its inhabitants through works that speak of her relationship to them. Let Wild Run Free presents works relating to the conservation and sustainability of the Lagoon in various materials, including oil paintings, watercolours, and works with salt and natural fibre paper. It cradles a place suspended in time, and advocates for its protection.
